Ty jsou ozna\u010dov\u00e1ny jako stresory a pr\u00e1v\u011b ty vyvol\u00e1vaj\u00ed pocity nepohody a ovliv\u0148uj\u00ed na\u0161e zdrav\u00ed jako celek. Stres jako takov\u00fd je pak souhrn obrann\u00fdch mechanism\u016f pracuj\u00edc\u00edch proti stresor\u016fm tak, aby nedo\u0161lo k nemoci nebo dokonce smrti. K \u00fapln\u00e9mu pochopen\u00ed stresu je v\u0161ak t\u0159eba je\u0161t\u011b doplnit, \u017ee ne v\u017edy se jedn\u00e1 o stres ve smyslu negativn\u00edm (distres). V\u00fdzkumy odhalily i stres pozitivn\u00ed (eustres), kter\u00fd m\u00e1 za n\u00e1sledek zvy\u0161ov\u00e1n\u00ed na\u0161eho v\u00fdkonu na maximum. Ani ten v\u0161ak na lidsk\u00e9 t\u011blo nesm\u00ed p\u016fsobit p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 dlouho, jeliko\u017e m\u016f\u017ee doj\u00edt nap\u0159\u00edklad k celkov\u00e9mu vy\u010derp\u00e1n\u00ed organismu.  Co spou\u0161t\u00ed stresory \u00b7 Psychick\u00e9 stresory zn\u00e1me v\u0161ichni. Jde p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm o extr\u00e9mn\u00ed situace v zam\u011bstn\u00e1n\u00ed, ve \u0161kole, v oblasti finan\u010dn\u00ed zaji\u0161t\u011bnosti a podobn\u011b. \u00b7 Fyzik\u00e1ln\u00ed stresory takt\u00e9\u017e p\u016fsob\u00ed jako z\u00e1t\u011b\u017e ve form\u011b nadm\u011brn\u00e9ho hluku, osl\u0148uj\u00edc\u00edho sv\u011btla, velmi n\u00edzk\u00e9 nebo vysok\u00e9 teploty. \u00b7 Soci\u00e1ln\u00ed stresy potk\u00e1vaj\u00ed ka\u017ed\u00e9ho z n\u00e1s prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm na\u0161ich soci\u00e1ln\u00edch kontakt\u016f. Jde tedy o osobn\u00ed vztahy v partnerstv\u00ed, rodin\u011b a v dal\u0161\u00edch soci\u00e1ln\u00edch skupin\u00e1ch. D\u00e1le jde o nezdrav\u00fd \u017eivotn\u00ed styl, kam \u0159ad\u00edme \u0161patnou \u017eivotospr\u00e1vu, po\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed cigaret nebo alkoholu, ale i nedostatek sp\u00e1nku. \u00b7 Traumatick\u00e9 stresory jsou jasnou zat\u011b\u017ek\u00e1vac\u00ed zkou\u0161kou pro na\u0161e t\u011blo i mysl. A nem\u00e1me na mysli pouze negativn\u00ed ud\u00e1losti jako je \u00famrt\u00ed, ale nap\u0159\u00edklad i narozen\u00ed d\u00edt\u011bte je velmi n\u00e1ro\u010dnou situac\u00ed, se kterou se mus\u00edme vyrovnat.  N\u00e1sledky dlouhodob\u00e9ho stresu Je jasn\u00e9, \u017ee dlouhodob\u00fd stres zp\u016fsobuje na\u0161emu t\u011blu fyzick\u00e9 i psychick\u00e9 n\u00e1sledky. Zm\u00ednit m\u016f\u017eeme nam\u00e1tkou zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00fd krevn\u00ed tlak nebo ischemickou chorobu srde\u010dn\u00ed, kter\u00e1 m\u016f\u017ee v\u00e9st a\u017e k infarktu myokardu. \u017dalude\u010dn\u00ed v\u0159edy takt\u00e9\u017e spadaj\u00ed do kategorie onemocn\u011bn\u00ed zp\u016fsoben\u00e9 dlouhodob\u00fdm stresem. Pak existuj\u00ed i n\u00e1sledky, kter\u00e9 n\u00e1s p\u0159\u00edmo na \u017eivot\u011b neohro\u017euj\u00ed, ale negativn\u00edm zp\u016fsobem ovliv\u0148uj\u00ed n\u00e1\u0161 \u017eivot.
