ICBI Client Programs

1) Incubation programs

These are programs in which companies in the initial stage of development are provided with services for preferential prices. In order for the incubation programs to successfully fulfill their function and also due to the fact that the demand for similar services in the Prague region outweighs the supply, companies interested in being involved in these programs must pass a selection procedure. This selection procedure assesses in particular the quality of the business plan, the innovativeness of the product, the history of the development of the enterprise, its financial health, the company management level and finally the professional potential of the company’s human resources. When selecting clients for the incubation programs, the connection of their products and services with the portfolio of products of ČKD GROUP certainly gives them an advantage but it is not necessary a condition. The selection of client companies for the incubation programs ensures that companies that have a competitive business plan and high added value of their services orientated towards the innovative potential of their enterprise will be supported.
In the near future the range of incubator programs is planned to be extended by a virtual incubation program and a program providing organizational and administrative facilities for companies that will not be placed in the ICBI.

1a. Pre-incubator

This is a special short-term program (clients are placed here for 6 months at the most), which is intended for corporate bodies preparing their business plan. The pre-incubator program provides them under very favorable conditions with a very good environment (offices and laboratory space and business and administrative services) for elaborating such a business plan that will aid their success on the market or in the selection process for further client programs of ICBI.

1b. Business incubator

Intended for entrepreneurial subjects in the initial stage of development who once involved in the program are provided with the necessary conditions for their development so they can succeed on the market after leaving the Business Incubator. Another option is to join a commercial client program of ICBI, Innovation Centre after completing the incubator program. Companies generally leave the Enterprise Incubator three years after joining this program.   

2) Commercial innovation programs

This client program of the Innovation Center and Business Incubator is intended for strongly innovation-orientated small and medium sized enterprises. Clients involved in this program are provided with office and laboratory space to rent and a range of administrative and business services at favorable market prices which are of course kept at the lowest level possible. Clients interested in being involved in the commercial innovation programs are subjected to a more simplified selection process which is mainly focused on the quality of their business plan and the application of their production on the market. Connection to products of the ČKD GROUP is an advantage during the selection process but in particular it provides a potential for cooperation between the client companies and various institutions of the ČKD GROUP. The success of this client program of ICBI is mainly measured by the success of the companies that are involved in it and also by the overall positive effect on enterprise and the improvement of conditions for its development in the Prague region.
Another client program that should be included into this group in the near future is a program aimed at international services for clients of ICBI.

2a. Innovation center

This program is intended for innovative companies, in particular small and medium sized enterprises, and is based on the above mentioned principles. It is currently the only program offered from this group.
