The Innovation Centre and Business Incubator(ICBI) is an archetypal business support facility that develops entrepreneurial and innovation environments and provides a carefully formulated system of business and administrative services with high added value.

ICBI was established on the basis of a project of the same name performed in the framework of the Single Programming Document Prague – Objective 2. The result of this project, performed by the consortium Technological Innovation Center ČKD Prague (TIC ČKD Prague), was the redevelopment of an old factory building into a center for industrial innovation and business incubation in the dynamic and emerging location of Prague-Vysočany, and the creation of the infrastructure and a managerial team for the support of enterprise in the Prague region.

ICBI currently provides services to companies through three client programs, two of which are incubator programs offering services at favorable prices. Incubator companies are offered discounts on basic market prices that gradually decline with the length of involvement in the programs. In this way the incubator companies can prepare themselves for when they leave the incubator programs. The third program is a commercial innovation program that supports innovative companies and in particular those whose activities are utilizable by partners of ICBI. One of the strong points of the ICBI is the combination of small and medium-sized innovative enterprises with a strong Czech industrial group, an organization that supports research, entrepreneurship and innovation and a consultancy firm in the field of new energy, because this mutually beneficial cooperation with several of the founders of ICBI can bring very good economic results to all of the participants.
